Melbourne from the Yarra. 1885 wood engraving

Wood engraving of shipping on the Yarra, near what was the "Turning Circle". The view is from what is now Southbank. The engraving is from Andrew Garran's monumental publication, "The Picturesque Atlas of Australasia", which was issued in weekly parts from 1882 - 1888.
Engraved on wood after the original drawing by Frederick Schell (1838-1902).

Excellent condition, uncoloured as issued. Presented in a double mat with backing, ready to frame. Image size: 200x300 mm. Overall: 350x440 mm.
